Every service and activity at The Grove is based solely on the word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ provided to us in the Bible. In order to understand our purpose and obligations as Christians we must therefore be students of the Bible. We believe that the best way to understand the Bible is to read it daily and to discuss it freely with brothers and sisters who share common life experiences. This is why we consider our small groups to be of the highest importance in our church. Small groups allow us to immerse ourselves in the Bible and to learn from the word and what it has done for others as well as ourselves. Additionally, our small groups are extended support units and exist to provide encouragement outside of the scheduled Sunday meetings. Studies have also shown that members involved in small groups are more likely to stay active in a church than those who are not.
The Grove small groups are divided primarily by age, but any person is welcome to become part of any of the groups that we have. All of the groups meet each Sunday at 9:15 am. A list of the small groups appears below:
Carpenters
Designed for young adults, single or married, with no kids or preschool aged children who desire to build a strong biblical foundation for their families and careers. Includes lively discussions with opportunities to pray and share with one another.
Faith & Family
This small group is geared for married or single people, and focuses on improving one’s relationship with God through marriage, family, friends and community.
MIC
Our Member Information Class is a four week class that is led by Pastor Ross Clemmons. It is open to anyone desiring to know more about The Grove, our mission and our ministries. This class also includes a general overview of Bible basics, prayer, fellowship, Christian behavior and service.
